Watching Hearth

Hearth will be available on the Roku Channel Store within the next 2-3 weeks (submission in progress as of May 2026). When live, search the Roku Channel Store for "Hearth" or say "Hey Roku, sleep" on a paired remote. The channel is free.

Audio plays but I don't hear music

Each scene has two synchronized streams: the visual loop (filmed on location, mostly silent) and an ambient music track composed for that scene. If you only hear the on-location audio, your TV may have muted the secondary track. Try restarting the channel — it will attach both streams on a fresh launch.

The video stutters or buffers

Hearth streams at up to 4K UHD with adaptive bitrate, so a slower connection will automatically receive a lower-resolution feed. If you experience persistent stutters, check your network speed (we recommend ≥10 Mbps for a comfortable experience), and if your Roku is on Wi-Fi, try moving it closer to the router or switching to ethernet.

I see an ad — can I skip it?

Hearth is free because of brief commercial breaks. We keep them rare and as quiet as the rest of the channel. The ad framework does not allow skipping during the spot, but the breaks are short — usually a single 15- or 30-second unit per session.

Limit ad tracking

Roku users: Settings → Privacy → Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking. The channel honors this setting. You will still see ads, but they will not be personalized to you.

Where does the music come from?

Each scene carries its own ambient track, commissioned specifically for that image and mastered by hand. Tracks are exclusive to Hearth. For details on how we use AI as a production tool with humans deciding what ships, see our AI disclosure.

Where does the video come from?

Fourteen of fifteen scenes are licensed from professional cinematographers with attribution preserved in our records. One hero scene is AI-assisted and labeled as such in its episode metadata. Future seasons will include footage we shoot or commission directly.
